Essex and Suffolk Water is celebrating the launch of National Apprenticeship Week 2025 by opening recruitment for apprentices.
The apprenticeships are available across Essex and Suffolk for a September start, with roles including electrical maintenance and catering, ranging from Level 3 advanced apprenticeships to Level 6 degree apprenticeships.
Current apprentice Joe Lucke, who works as a craft technician in the maintenance team, said: "I would definitely encourage anyone who wants a great start to their career to apply for an apprenticeship.
“Every day brings new challenges, hands-on learning, and the chance to make a real impact in our communities, and I’m really enjoying the opportunity of learning whilst earning a living wage."
All the apprentices are supported by a business mentor, and they are also provided with an in-depth development programme.
Helen Smith, Early Careers Lead at Essex and Suffolk Water said: "National Apprenticeship Week is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the value this form of training brings to individuals, businesses and communities.
“It’s an exciting time to join us as this year sees the start of an ambitious investment programme bringing diverse roles across the business to support and deliver outstanding service to our customers.
“It's also important to recognise that apprenticeship programmes aren't just for school leavers because they can be used to help people take invaluable new steps in their careers, no matter what age they are, so we would recommend anyone who is considering an apprenticeship to apply.”
Due to the high diversity of roles available applications are only open for a short time and will close on Sunday 23 February at midnight.
