A road in Tollesbury will be closed overnight to allow Essex & Suffolk Water to connect a retirement housing development to water.
The retirement village being created by Lewis & Scott on Woodrolfe Road is the first of its kind in the UK and will see 25 affordable bungalows created.
Part of Woodrolfe Road will be closed to traffic overnight between 8pm and 5am, to allow a team from Essex & Suffolk Water to connect the village to a water supply.
Work will start on Wednesday 11 September and should be completed by Tuesday 17 September.
The work is being carried out overnight to try and minimise the disruption to businesses located in Woodrolfe Road.
Access can be granted to the businesses, residents and visitors during this time, as metal plates can be placed across where the work is taking place. However if this is the case, we would ask drivers to be patient as it might take five to ten minutes to get the plates safely in position.
