An army of volunteers from Essex & Suffolk Water have installed a supply of fresh drinking water in order to help and support Lowestoft’s First Light Festival this weekend.
The free 24-hour multi-arts festival has seen the group of water company volunteers provide water to the festival site and help festival organisers set up, ready for this Saturday (18 June).
The volunteers will also be there throughout the weekend as stewards - while sharing some top water saving tips to save customers money. These tips include how to spot a leaky loo and how to use the company’s handy water and energy calculator.
Debbie Mitchell, Marketing Manager for Essex & Suffolk Water said: “We are very pleased to be part of this creative 24-hour festival and supplying our clean, clear and great tasting tap water to festival attendees.
“Our people are very passionate and volunteering for these events is a great way for them to spend some time with the people at the heart of our communities.”
Updates on the team’s work at First Light Festival will be shared across Essex & Suffolk Water social media channels throughout the festival - which runs from midday Saturday 18 to midday Sunday 19 June.
