We have been recognised for our exceptional performance and innovative approach to putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
In November 2020 we participated in the Great Place to Work survey, inviting all colleagues to share their views.
2,659 (86%) of colleagues provided their feedback, with 77% agreeing that this is a great place to work. With an overall Trust Index Score of 70%, an improvement on 62% in 2019 and better than our target of 65%, improvements were seen in colleague perception across all areas of the survey.
Awarded by the Great Place to Work Institute, it recognises the support we have available for our colleagues’ wellbeing through our Living Well initiative.
In recognition of our long-standing commitment to, and outstanding delivery of, workplace health and wellbeing we were named a Wellbeing Ambassador.
In 2020 judges were impressed with our clear commitment to customer service, innovation, resilience and our people.
Under the ‘caretakers of water in our regions’ initiative, judges saw our work as rooted in the natural environment and the communities we serve – safeguarding the environment and the water supply for future generations.
We came in 19th place in the Top 25 Best Big Companies to work for.

We also took home the Data Project for our Water Poverty Eradication Modelling which uses innovative leading-edge machine learning techniques and toolsets to channel our ocean of big data.

We were recognised for our effective strategy, approach and results of our Every Drop Counts campaign which encourages behaviour change in water efficiency.
